Kiss the World

I suppose this count-to-ten kissing game got started with teaching Max English numbers. Then counting to ten in Marshallese was a logical extension, and then in the languages I have learned (none that well) over the years: Spanish, French, Italian, German. Andrew added Swedish, and Max's babysitter added Tagalog. I don't promise my pronunciation is perfect, but it's been a fun game and a good foundation—Max knows that there is more than one right way to count to ten, just as there is more than one right way to have a culture. It's also a good excuse to kiss.

Here's the video, with me in exercise clothes and a bad haircut I gave myself (but at least I'm learning! I'm not ashamed!) and Max, who will be three in May. Not shown is his Spanish number set (because I forgot).
